Two minor sisters were killed while two of their infant siblings sustained critical injuries when a fire broke out in their house in Sawami Nagar, Goray Shah, on Wednesday.
Police sources said that the ill-fated children were alone when the fire broke, caused by a gas heater. As a result, two sisters received serious burn injuries and died on the spot while two of their siblings (aged 15 months and 35 days) also received burn injuries.
Four fire rescue vehicles reached the spot and after controlling the blaze, shifted two of the surviving children to Mayo Hospital.
Doctors stated that the infants were suffering from 70 percent burns and that their condition was critical.
