Trade of substandard and unhygienic milk to be rooted out: Punjab CM

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed that action should be continued against those involved in the production and sale of substandard and unhygienic milk.

He said that the production and sale of unhealthy milk is a crime and those involved in this trade deserve no leniency.

He said that the mafia involved in the adulteration of milk deserves the maximum possible punishment and that it is the responsibility of the government to deal with such elements with an iron hand. He said that those involved in this business will be rooted out and will not only be fined but also sent behind bars.

The chief minister said that the trade of substandard and adulterated milk in any form will be eradicated and that no one will be allowed to play with the lives of children. He said that deterrent action will be taken against those supplying or selling unhygienic milk.

He said that the sources of supply of substandard, harmful and unhealthy milk will also be closed. He said that action will be taken against the producers and sellers of unhygienic milk and that this trade will be completely eradicated.
