IGP orders security measures for CPEC caravan

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh AD Khwaja on Monday directed all district SSPs to take extraordinary security measures for Chinese officials and the staff of trade caravans of CPEC upon their return from Gwadar.

He said that security should be ensured through their travelling routes, stay sites and entry into Sindh.

The IGP said that the CPEC caravan should be escorted under the supervision of DSP rank officials, while the relevant SSP should personally monitor the security steps for the caravan and update their movement on WhatsApp.
