District govt to install free Wi-Fi hotspots in Multan

The Multan district administration has announced to install free Wi-Fi hotspots for the public.

According to reports, free wi-fi services will be available at numerous public locations and government buildings throughout the city. These include Ghanta Ghar, Damdama, Art Council, Kachehri and at various hospitals.

However, 30 devices have been installed at various locations in the city.

The service will be functional from the first week of November.

Earlier this year, the Punjab Government has initiated a program to make free wi-fi services available at numerous public locations and government buildings in Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi.

Last year, Pujab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif approved the free of charge Wi-Fi under Metro Wi-Fi Network Program at important educational institutions, hospitals, railway stations, airports, metro bus routes and bus stands.
