Punjab government has decided to introduce a group insurance scheme for government employees across the province, including the Rawalpindi district.
As per the scheme, government employees will be entitled to get the insurance amount, collected from them during their service tenure on retirement.
The Punjab government has sought a list of the employees from all departments including the education, health, revenue and agriculture, said an official in the district department.
The official said an insurance company has been engaged and complete details of the employees has been sought before finalising the agreement with the insurance company.
