Prominent poet, columnist and journalists Atta-ul Haq Qasmi on Wednesday assumed charge as Chairman Pakistan Television Corporation.
He would be the chairman of PTV Board of Directors, said a press release issued here.
Qasmi, a literary figure writing for past five decades has remained Pakistan’s ambassador to Thailand and Norway.
On his arrival at PTV, he was accorded warm welcome by the officers, staff and representatives of the employees union.
MD PTV Muhamamd Malik gave a briefing about the working of the corporation.
