Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique and Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday jointly inaugurated the project of upgradation of Narowal railway station.
Under the project, the state-of-the-art building of Narowal station would be constructed there having air conditioned waiting hall, prayer hall, separate wash rooms for ladies and gents, reservation office, parcel booking office, generators for 24 hours power supply, car parking lots on 24 kanals area, commercial area (shopping mall) attached with Narowal railway station building, two open sky restaurants and play land for the children.
This mega project would be completed under the supervision of NESPAK in a stipulated period of next 16 months with total estimated cost of Rs 351 million. This project would cover an area of 62,000 square feet. Local MPAs Khawaja Waseem Butt, Rana Manan Khan and Narowal DCO Syed Najaf Iqbal were also present on this occasion.
