Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani has constituted six benches at the principal seat to hear a number of important cases during the next week, starting from Monday.
The first bench comprising Chief Justice, Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed would hear a number of important cases including suo-moto action regarding suicide bomb attack on Church in Peshawar on September 22, 2013, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan through chairman Zohra Yousaf case for appointing Judicial Commission to probe into the incident of murder of Ms. Parveen Rehman, Social Worker/Director Orangi Project, election matters of political parties leaders, holding of elections in Islamabad abd cantonment boards, Election matters for giving fresh directions to Election Commission of Pakistan as to holding of local government elections in the provinces of Sindh and Punjab and suo-moto notice case regarding arrest of the accused involved in cases of torture and murder of the advocates.
The Second bench consist of Justice Nasir-Ul-Mulk, Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Muhammad Ather Saeed while third bench consisting Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja, Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman and Justice Mushir Alam will hear the cases including application against Ghulam Sarwar Khan on account of fake degree, election matters of provincial assembly members, (Suo Moto action against grant of 450 & 200 illegal CNG stations licenses during the tenure of two Ex-Prime Ministers namely Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani and Raja Pervez Ashraf respectively and missing persons cases.
Fourth bench comprised of Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany and Justice Dost Muhammad Khosa and fifth bench consist of Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan. Sixth bench consist of Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry and Justice Gulzar Ahmed.
According to case lists, no adjournment on any ground will be granted and no application for adjournment through fax will be placed before the Court.
If the counsel is unable to appear for any reason, the dvocate-on-Record will be required to argue the case.
