Sindh Local Bodies Minister Sharjeel Memon on Monday said that the holding of local bodies (LB) elections on January 18 has turned impossible after the amendments in Sindh Local Government Act-2013 (SLGA-2013) have been declared unconstitutional and illegal by the Sindh High Court (SHC).
Sharjeel Memon said that the new strategy in the backdrop of SHC short order would be finalised after the announcement of the detailed order. He further said that legislating law and making amendments in it was the right of the assembly and its members.
