Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) expressed its willingness for the uncertain local bodies elections in Sindh due to be held on January 18, a private news channel reported on Wednesday.
Talking to the media, MQM leader Dr. Farooq Sattar said that his part is ready to participate in the local bodies elections,
“We are ready to take part in upcoming elections of local bodies and serve the masses,” Sattar stated. “The sanitation campaign will be MQM’s first priority after winning local bodies elections,” the MQM leader added.
He also said that MQM seeks improvement in Sindh’s educational system and it will be restoring the project of Karachi Circular Railways with the help of international investors.
Sattar urged the Election Commission of Pakistan to ascertain the holding of LB elections in Sindh. “We will accept whatever the decision will be taken by the ECP”, he added.
