Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Kayani called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday.
They discussed current wave of terrorism and security issues besides defence related matters during the meeting.
They also discussed proposed national security policy to be finalised soon to control terrorism.
The army chief briefed Nawaz on important defence matters and the border situation. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was also present.
