PML-N in no alliance with MQM: Rana Sanaullah

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had not entered into any alliance with the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM).

Talking to reporters, Sanaullah said the PML-N had only approached the MQM for their support in the presidential election.

“Our opinion of the MQM still remains the same. The Election Commission will investigate rigging allegations against the MQM during the May 11 polls.”

On July 26, the MQM announced that it would unconditionally support PML-N presidential candidate Mamnoon Hussain after a meeting between leaders of both parties at MQM headquarters Nine Zero.

The presidential election are to be held today Tuesday and would be contested by PML-N’s Mamnoon Hussain and PTI-backed candidate Justice (r) Wajihuddin Ahmed.
