The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday announced that new power projects of 1200 Mega Watts (MW) and 200 MW capacity for the province would soon be completed.
The two plants would be powered by coal and solar energy respectively.
Prior to his departure for China‚ he said that no delay would be tolerated in this regard.
He also said that the provincial government would provide all possible facilities to the investors in the energy sector.
He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to China was very important as it would yield positive results for the nation. He said that China and Pakistan have always had good relations and Shahbaz Sharif would build on that to strengthen Pak-China cooperation in the energy sector.
