Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will formally inaugurate the Sixth Road flyover today (Wednesday).
The city district government had earlier opened the flyover on Benazir Bhutto Road for traffic on Jan 5.
Completed at a cost of Rs 1.042 billion, in 100 days, the Sixth Road Flyover will ease traffic congestion and allow service roads to be paved under the bridge. Construction of the 400m long bridge had begun in September.
Prior to attending the inauguration ceremony, Shahbaz will visit the Arid Agriculture University and address students. He will also inaugurate the Institute Of Cardiology which was built at the cost of Rs 3 million.
