Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Zulfiqar Khosa on Tuesday said that the Punjab government would set up Christmas bazaars to facilitate the Christian community for Christmas celebrations.
These bazaars would be set up in all the major cities of the province and funds were already allocated for this purpose, he said.
He added that a wide range of essential items including readymade garments, shoes and other necessary items would be made available at reasonable prices in the bazaars. He further said that a 20 kilogramme flour bag would be available for Rs 400 and other necessary commodities would also be sold at cheaper rates in Christmas bazaars. Answering a question, Khosa said that police would be deployed at all churches and other worship places of Christians for security purposes.
