Sindh Inspector General of Police Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari has barred the unnecessary transfer of the investigation officers especially in high-profile cases.

He said it was very important that these investigating officers continue the investigation till logical end and submission of final challan in the court. He issued such directives while presiding over a meeting here at the central police office.

Additional Inspector General of Police, Iqbal Mehmood, Zonal DIGs in Karachi and other senior police officers attended the meeting, said an official statement here on Sunday.

The IGP said transfer of any investigating police officer while investigation is in progress would cause delay in proceedings as the new investigation police officer would need a good amount of time to comprehend the case and reach the conclusion.
