Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has issued defamation notices to 13 former Olympians for leveling charges of alleged involvement of the federation’s office bearers in human trafficking.

Notices have been issued through Sajid Bashir, counsel for PHF, to 13 former Olympians, including Shahnaz Sheikh, Khalid Mehmood, Islah ud Din Siddiqui, Sami Ullah, Shahbaz Ahmad senior, Salim Nazim, Qamar Ibrahim, Naveed Alam, Qamar Zia, Saeed Khan, Muhammad Ayyaz and Tahir Zaman.

The former Olympians would appear before the court to give reply on these notices. Earlier, they sent a letter to Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, who is also the Patron in Chief of PHF, alleging the office bearers of the federation of being involved in human trafficking.
