Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Tuesday expressed gratefulness to the Taliban for maintaining peace during the holy month of Muharram on his appeal.
Speaking to media here in the federal capital city, the minister added that the performance of police and security forces during the holy month was “laudable”.
Malik earlier called on Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and briefed him about the countrywide security measures taken by government amid Muharram processions.
