The Confucius Institute at National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad held a two-day teachers’ training workshop on “Urdu version of Chinese learning materials workshop in Pakistan.” The workshop aimed at the use of Chinese language teaching resources to help Chinese language teachers and trainers better utilise current Chinese language teaching material and its Urdu language versions and to build a platform for bilingual communication among Urdu teachers and Chinese language teachers.

Confucius Institute NUML Director Dr Ge Lisheng was the moderator and NUML Chinese Department Head Professor Lei Weizhong, was the key speaker at the seminar. Dr Lisheng gave an introductory lecture on the Importance of Chinese language for Pakistani Students studying Chinese Language in Pakistan. He said Chinese language was had various cultural aspects and teachers must focus on all language skills while teaching it.

In the seminar, Weizhong delivered the lecture on International Curriculum for Chinese language Education and localisation of Chinese learning material.
