Pakistan, UAE to enhance trade

Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar held a bilateral meeting with the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the sidelines of the 66th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Both leaders expressed satisfaction at the strong bonds of friendship between the two countries and discussed ways to enhance cooperation, especially in the areas of trade and commerce.

The two sides exchanged views on increasing UAE’s investment in Pakistan. They agreed to continue constructive engagement on the issue of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Pakistan and the GCC.

Furthermore, the foreign minister of UAE expressed sympathy for the victims of recent floods in Pakistan and assured his country’s all possible flood relief assistance.
