Murad Ali Shah seeks immediate road and sewerage fixes in Gulistan-i-Jauhar

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has ordered immediate action to repair damaged roads and address sewerage problems in Gulistan-i-Jauhar, directing Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab to personally review the ongoing uplift and repair work in the area.
In a statement issued from the CM House on Monday, the chief minister said residents' complaints would be handled on a priority basis and warned that delays in development schemes and poor upkeep would not be tolerated. He also called for urgent rehabilitation of both main roads and internal streets in the locality.
Murad Ali Shah asked the mayor to submit an immediate report on road repairs, drainage issues and the cleaning of sewerage lines. He said development activity should not create inconvenience for residents and commuters, adding, "The government is responsible for providing citizens with better commuting facilities and a clean environment."
The chief minister also instructed all relevant departments to speed up development work across Karachi and complete projects on a priority basis, saying emergency steps were needed to improve drainage and infrastructure.
