IESCO announces power shutdowns across Islamabad, Rawalpindi and nearby districts
IESCO announced scheduled electricity outages in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal on July 25 for maintenance. Several feeders and 132kV lines are affected; power may return early.

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company has announced scheduled electricity outages in parts of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal on Saturday, July 25, for maintenance and development work.
In Islamabad Circle, power supply will remain suspended from 6am to 10am in areas connected to the Faisal Masjid, Ayub Market, HC-I, HC-II, G-9/4, Suparco, T&T, PTCL, G-8/1, G-8, G-8 Markaz and Marvi feeders.
Residents served by the Japan Road and Jhandala feeders in Rawalpindi Cantt Circle will also face outages between 6am and 10am.
In Rawalpindi City Circle, electricity will remain unavailable from 6:30am to 2pm in areas supplied by the Chairing Cross, Millatabad and Askari-XI feeders.
Consumers connected to the Fawara Chowk feeder in Attock Circle will experience a power shutdown from 6am to 10am.
In Jhelum Circle, the outage will affect areas linked to the City Housing, Sanghoi, Safdar Shaheed, Nathwala and Langarpur feeders between 6am and 10am.
Power supply in parts of Chakwal Circle will remain suspended from 6am to 11am. The affected feeders include Abdullah Pur, Jalal Pur, Sagharpur and CWO.
IESCO has also planned maintenance work in its GSO Circle, affecting RA Bazar, AWT, Mall Road, AFIC, Tench Bhatta, CMH, Qasim Market, Sprint Mall, Kiyani Road, Army Flats, New GHQ, Hospital Road, NLC, Zeeshan Colony, Haider Road, Canning Road and adjoining areas.
Several 132kV transmission lines and grid stations in Taxila, Sangjani, Burhan, Kahuta City, Palandri, New Wah and Bahtermore will also be affected at different times.
IESCO said electricity supply could be restored before the announced time if maintenance work is completed earlier.
