QUETTA: Security forces killed four terrorists during an operation in the Khad Kocha area of Balochistan’s Mastung district, according to the interior ministry and state broadcaster Radio Pakistan.
Radio Pakistan reported earlier on Friday that the dead men belonged to Fitna-al-Hindustan, a term the state uses for Balochistan-based groups to underline India’s alleged role in militancy and destabilisation in Pakistan. Citing security sources, the broadcaster said a large cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the slain militants.
The same sources said several other people suspected of facilitating terrorism were also taken into custody during the operation. They added that search and clearance activity was continuing in the area, with security forces maintaining what Radio Pakistan described as comprehensive surveillance.
Later, the interior ministry confirmed the operation and the killing of four terrorists in a post on X.
