Richmond House linked to Imran Khan and Goldsmith family listed for £25 million

LONDON: A historic house in Richmond where former prime minister Imran Khan lived for several years with his former wife Jemima Khan and her mother Lady Annabel Goldsmith has been put up for sale with an asking price of £25 million.

The property, Ormeley Lodge, is a 10-bedroom detached home on Ham Common in southwest London, near Richmond Park. Its listing says the early Georgian residence extends over about 15,814 square feet and includes seven bathrooms, gardens and a cottage.

Sale follows Lady Annabel Goldsmith’s death

The home was placed on the market after the death of Lady Annabel, Jemima Khan’s mother, who died in October 2025.

The house has been put on the market after the death of Annabel Goldsmith. Jemima Khan lives a few miles away and both her sons live separately. There is no practical purpose left in keeping the house, therefore we are selling it. The house has great memories for us as a family. The passing of Annabel Goldsmith has left a deep void in our lives.

Jemima lives a few miles away in West London, while her sons with Imran Khan, Sulaiman Khan and Kasim Khan, live separately.

Long association with Khan’s London years

The Richmond address remained closely associated with Khan’s political and personal life in Britain. He used the property as his London base for nearly 20 years, living there during his marriage to Jemima and continuing to stay in the annexe after their divorce.

It was also from this house that Khan regularly recorded programmes and messages for the channel’s Pukaar campaign after the severe flooding disaster around 2006. During visits to London, he also held political meetings there and met Pakistani journalists, politicians and associates.

The property remained Khan’s regular base in London until around 2014, when he is understood to have stayed there for the last time. He did not use it again after his marriages to Reham Khan and later Bushra Begum.

Site of political protests

In later years, the house also drew political demonstrations. In 2014, protesters gathered outside the property while Khan was inside, and he was later driven away by his close aide Zulfi Bukhari.

After Khan’s removal from office, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supporters in the UK staged several protests outside the house. Those demonstrations were linked to counter-protests after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf supporters had repeatedly assembled outside the Avenfield apartments, the Sharif family’s London residence near Hyde Park, about 10 miles away.

Jemima publicly objected on several occasions to protests outside her mother’s home, saying it was unfair to target the private residence of her elderly mother.

The house has remained a notable address in both British high society and Pakistani political circles. Jemima is set to marry Irish-Australian financier Cameron O’Reilly, son of the late Irish businessman and former rugby international Sir Anthony O’Reilly. The couple have been together for around a year and divide their time between Switzerland and West London.
