Rain-hit draw seals West Indies Test series win over Sri Lanka
West Indies secured a home Test series win over Sri Lanka after the second Test in Antigua ended in a rain-hit draw. The hosts took the two-match series 1-0 after their innings victory in the opener.

ST JOHN'S, Antigua: West Indies wrapped up their first home Test series victory in four years after the second and final match against Sri Lanka ended in a rain-affected draw at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Tuesday.
After suffering a heavy innings defeat in the opening Test at the same venue a week earlier, Sri Lanka needed a win to level the two-match series. The visitors declared their second innings at 251 for nine shortly after lunch, leaving West Indies a target of 302 in less than two sessions to complete a 2-0 sweep.
West Indies openers John Campbell and Brandon King then put on 89 without loss before rain interrupted play. A short shower was followed by more sustained rain that effectively ended any chance of a decisive result. Play resumed later for 40 minutes before the match was called off, with West Indies on 109 without loss. Campbell and King were both unbeaten on 51.
The result gave West Indies their first home Test series success since a 2-0 win over Bangladesh in 2022, when they recorded victories in Antigua and St Lucia. It was also their first Test series win over Sri Lanka since a 1-0 home result in 2003 in another two-match series.
Captain Roston Chase said the achievement ranked above all others in his career with West Indies before he collected the Sobers-Tissera Trophy, introduced for contests between the two sides in Sri Lanka in 2015.
