ISLAMABAD: A cargo aircraft flying from Sharjah to Karachi went missing after contact was lost over the sea near Ormara in Balochistan, aviation and Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) sources said.
The aircraft, operated by a Pakistani cargo company, disappeared about 300 nautical miles from Karachi, aviation sources said on Tuesday. They said communication with the plane was lost at 9:32pm.
PAA sources said the flight had been travelling to Karachi from Sharjah when contact with the aircraft was interrupted. Following the loss of communication, a search operation was launched to trace the missing plane.
