Bugti praises security forces after Ziarat clearance operation

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has hailed police and security forces for what he described as a successful clearance operation against terrorists of Fitna al-Khawarij in Ziarat district.

In a statement, Bugti said the killing of militants in the operation reflected the bravery, professionalism and planning of Balochistan Police and the security forces. He also paid tribute to police personnel who fought in the operation, saying their conduct in the line of duty had set a notable example.

Bugti said the sacrifices of fallen police personnel would not be forgotten and declared that action against militants and their facilitators would continue without distinction.

"The martyrs of Balochistan Police are saluted by the entire nation. Their sacrifices will never go in vain," he said.

The chief minister also warned that those challenging the writ of the state would be defeated, calling Balochistan a strong fortress of Pakistan. He said armed militants would find no sanctuary in the province and reiterated that operations would continue until the last militant was eliminated.
