This Russian influencer's hilarious take on Khawaja Asif's 'Vigo' rant is going viral
Khawaja Asif’s viral “Vigo is vulgar” speech has sparked memes again—this time with a Russian influencer, Daria Shatova, recreating the act in fluent Urdu. The parody draws praise, debate, and laughs.

Khawaja Asif's now-iconic "Vigo is vulgar" speech has officially entered meme territory.
And the latest person to jump on the trend isn't even Pakistani.
Karachi-based Russian influencer Daria Shatova has gone viral after recreating the Defence Minister's fiery speech about Vigo pickup trucks—complete with the expressions, delivery and dramatic pauses that made the original clip explode online.
The parody has racked up thousands of views, with Pakistanis flooding the comments to applaud not just the comedy, but also Daria's surprisingly fluent Urdu.
"Hahaha. Btw, Khawaja sahab is against the 'Dala' culture and he's technically right. But this was hilarious," one user commented.
Another was impressed by her language skills, writing: "Stunned after seeing her understanding Urdu."
Others pointed out that the minister may actually have a point. "Well, it does actually happen in Pakistan, so he's right," one person wrote.
Another simply summed up the performance with one word: "Expressions."
The parody comes just days after Khawaja Asif's speech in the National Assembly went massively viral.
Speaking on the floor of the House, the Defence Minister described Vigo pickup trucks as a "symbol of vulgarity", saying they should be banned from Parliament Lodges and even from public roads.
He argued that something changes the moment people get behind the wheel of a Vigo.
"The moment someone sits behind the steering wheel of a Vigo, something seems to happen to their mind," he remarked.
He also criticised the culture of speeding convoys, excessive security protocols and official vehicles displaying national flags after sunset, urging authorities to rethink Pakistan's VIP culture.
The speech has since spawned countless memes, remixes and now... a Russian influencer's spot-on parody.
At this point, it looks like Pakistan's most viral vehicle isn't a Corolla or a Civic.
It's the Vigo.
