PTI serves show-cause notice on MNA Iqbal Afridi

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has issued a show-cause notice to its National Assembly member Iqbal Afridi, accusing him of repeatedly violating party discipline and asking him to respond within seven days.

The notice was issued on Saturday by PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan. According to the document, Afridi has been directed to submit a written explanation over a series of allegations raised against him.

Among the accusations listed in the notice is that Afridi had repeatedly behaved inappropriately with fellow PTI lawmakers in the National Assembly. The party also alleged that some of those incidents were recorded on camera and later appeared on television news broadcasts as well as social media platforms.

The move marks formal disciplinary action by the party leadership against the MNA, based on what the notice described as repeated breaches of internal discipline.
