VIDEO: John Cena’s words for Pakistan spark emotional reactions online

A chance encounter between a Pakistani fan and WWE legend John Cena in the United States has gone viral after it turned into a heartfelt moment for fans back home.

Abu Huraira Khan Suri, a Pakistani fan attending an event in the US, introduced himself to Cena and told him he had followed his career for years — adding that even though WWE had never officially toured Pakistan, Cena’s presence and message had still reached fans there.

He then asked Cena for a short message for his Pakistani supporters — and whether the wrestling icon would ever consider running for president.

Cena responded warmly, clearly appreciating the gesture.

“I think you’re a great representative of the gratitude I have for fans all over the world,” Cena said. “So, for all the fans, anything that I’ve ever done would resonate for anyone in Pakistan. Thank you so much.”

On the presidential question, Cena kept it simple and smiled: “I’m retired.”

The moment quickly spread online, with fans sharing emotional reactions and calling it a “dream come true” interaction.

“My childhood dream that will still stay a dream,” one user wrote under the viral clip.

Others praised the wholesome exchange, saying it reflected Cena’s long-standing reputation for connecting with fans worldwide.

This is not the first time a Pakistani fan has had a memorable interaction with Cena.

Back in 2016, Pakistani fan Tanzil ur Rehman met him through the Make-A-Wish Foundation during a WWE RAW event in the US, gifting him traditional souvenirs including an ajrak and Sindhi topi. Cena later described the meeting as deeply meaningful.

Cena retired from in-ring wrestling in December 2025 after a 23-year career, but moments like this continue to keep his connection with fans very much alive.
