 ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan on Friday invited the Saudi-Pak Business Council (SPBC) to explore strategic investment opportunities in Pakistan’s major motorway projects, including M-6 Sukkur-Hyderabad, M-10 Karachi Port, and M-13 Kharian-Rawalpindi, describing them as highly viable and commercially attractive ventures for foreign investors.

“These particular routes are highly viable, commercially lucrative and represent prime investment opportunities for the Saudi business community due to their significant commercial importance,” the minister said during a high-level meeting with a Saudi delegation led by Saudi-Pak Business Council Chairman Prince Mansour bin Muhammad Al Saud.

According to a press release, the meeting discussed matters of mutual interest and the strategic promotion of bilateral relations, with a focus on investment in Pakistan’s motorway and broader transport infrastructure.

The federal minister extended an invitation to the Saudi-Pak Business Council to invest in Pakistan’s rapidly expanding infrastructure sector, particularly highlighting ongoing and planned motorway and transport network projects across the country.

Prince Mansour bin Muhammad Al Saud, on behalf of the Saudi Business Council, expressed strong interest in exploring investment and partnership opportunities in these motorway projects, and affirmed the Council’s readiness to collaborate in Pakistan’s communications and infrastructure sectors.

During the meeting, Abdul Aleem Khan assured the delegation that Saudi investors would be offered viable and profitable investment models, noting that Pakistan’s expanding road network plays a key role in strengthening regional trade and connectivity.

He reaffirmed that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy long-standing, time-tested and deep-rooted fraternal relations, adding that every Pakistani holds a strong spiritual and emotional bond with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which has consistently extended goodwill towards Pakistan.

Prince Mansour bin Muhammad Al Saud assured the Federal Minister of full cooperation through the Saudi-Pak Business Council and expressed optimism about the outcomes of his visit to Pakistan.

Abdul Aleem Khan reiterated his appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s collaboration in major national development projects, stating that the platform of the Saudi-Pak Business Council would continue to further strengthen bilateral economic ties between the two brotherly countries.

Federal Secretary for Communications and senior officials from both sides also attended the meeting.
