Naqvi, KP governor discuss security and anti-terror measures in KP
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi reviewed the province’s security situation and anti-terror steps on Tuesday. An official statement said Naqvi assured full federal cooperation for peace and stability.
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday reviewed the law and order situation in the province and discussed steps being taken to counter terrorism, according to an official statement.
The statement said Governor Kundi briefed the interior minister on the security challenges facing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the meeting.
It added that both leaders paid tribute to the security forces for successful intelligence-based operations against militants and honoured those who lost their lives in the fight against terrorism.
According to the statement, Naqvi said the sacrifices made by security personnel for peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were unforgettable. He also assured the governor of every possible support for peace and stability in the province, saying the federal government was extending full cooperation to the KP government in this regard.
