Saba Qamar steps into scandal, set to portray cocaine queen Anmol Pinky
Saba Qamar is reportedly starring as Anmol “Pinky” in a new television biopic in development. The series, written by Shahzaib Khanzada, adapts a Karachi cocaine case now under FIA/ANF involvement.

This one is already turning heads — Saba Qamar is reportedly set to play Anmol, famously known as “Pinky” and widely labeled in reports as Pakistan’s “cocaine queen,” in a new television biopic that is currently in development.
And yes — the internet is already reacting.
The project is being written by journalist and TV host Shahzaib Khanzada, adding even more curiosity around how this real-life headline-grabbing story will be adapted for screen.
Saba herself added fuel to the buzz after resharing a post on her Instagram story about the casting news, sending fans and social media pages into full speculation mode.
For context, Anmol “Pinky” first made headlines after her arrest in Karachi on May 12 during a police raid in the Garden area — a case that quickly snowballed into one of the most talked-about drug investigations of the year.
Police and investigators claim she was linked to a wider narcotics network operating across multiple cities, allegedly using riders and associates instead of formal staff to move operations discreetly.
According to South DIG Syed Asad Raza, the network is believed to have supplied cocaine to clients across different regions, with investigators calling it a structured and expanding operation.
Authorities also allege she moved between Karachi and Lahore at a young age in pursuit of a modelling and media career before later becoming involved in drug-related activity — claims that added to the case’s viral notoriety.
Investigators further say multiple links were uncovered during the probe, including connections with a retired police officer, along with alleged assets and properties acquired during that period.
Law enforcement agencies including the FIA, ANF, and NCCIA are now involved in the wider investigation. Officials also claim several criminal cases have been registered against her over the years, with financial assets reportedly frozen as the inquiry continues.
Now, with Saba Qamar attached to the lead role, the project is shaping up to be one of the most controversial Pakistani dramas in recent memory — bringing a real-life scandal straight from headlines into prime-time storytelling.
