Supreme Court stresses speedy hearings in bail cases
The Supreme Court says it is ensuring speedy hearings and disposal of pre-arrest and post-arrest bail cases. It says no such unfixed bail matters are currently pending at its principal seat in Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has reiterated its focus on protecting fundamental rights and personal liberty by ensuring quick hearings and disposal of pre-arrest and post-arrest bail matters across the country.
According to a statement issued by the apex court, bail cases are being scheduled and heard strictly under the court’s fixation policy so that they are decided without delay and the constitutional rights of litigants are protected.
The Supreme Court said there are currently no unfixed pending pre-arrest or post-arrest bail cases at its principal seat in Islamabad.
The statement said the court’s approach is aimed at timely adjudication of bail matters, which it linked to the safeguarding of personal liberty and fundamental rights.
