Man, son held after pet dog attack on deaf boy in Bahawalnagar
A man and his son have been arrested in Bahawalnagar after allegedly unleashing their pet dog on a 15-year-old deaf-mute boy. The injured boy was rescued by passersby and taken to hospital.
BAHAWALNAGAR: A man and his son were arrested after allegedly setting their pet dog on a deaf-mute boy in the Madressah area on Sunday, according to a police case registered with Madrassa police.
The FIR says 15-year-old Muhammad Ali, a deaf-mute boy from Jattan village, had come to visit relatives in Basti Kaley Khan. While he was passing through a street, the suspects, identified as Jahangir and his son Saleem, allegedly unleashed their dog on him.
The dog attacked and injured the boy before passersby intervened and rescued him. He was then taken to the district headquarters hospital for treatment.
A police spokesperson said the father and son had been arrested and were being questioned by police.
