'At least she’s earning halal': Internet defends Ayesha Sana after ex-'friend' exposes her life in USA

Ayesha Sana is suddenly back in the spotlight — but not for a comeback anyone expected.

The veteran TV personality, once one of Pakistan’s most recognisable entertainment faces, has been trending online after Dr. Omer Adil publicly revealed details about her alleged life in the United States during a recent conversation.

And the internet is not happy about it.

According to Omer Adil, Ayesha Sana has been living in Salt Lake City, Utah, after quietly disappearing from Pakistan’s entertainment scene nearly six to eight years ago following financial controversies.

While discussing old disputes involving a committee and unpaid money he claimed she owed him, Omer unexpectedly began sharing personal details about her current life abroad.

He alleged that Ayesha had worked at a 7/11 convenience store, later at a gas station, and is now employed at a five-star hotel as a hostess or waitress.

But what truly triggered backlash online was that he allegedly went even further — revealing her address and other personal details publicly.

Social media users immediately turned on him, accusing him of humiliating a woman simply trying to rebuild her life honestly.

One viral comment read: “This is very wrong. He should not reveal personal information about her.”

Another user defended the former host by writing: “At least she’s earning halal. Nahi to paisay ke liye media ki aurtein kuch bhi kar leti hain.”

A third furious commenter slammed Omer directly, saying: “Mardood bhaag yahan se. She is earning her living and you are earning yours by talking sh*t about people.”

For many Pakistanis online, the conversation quickly stopped being about money and became about dignity, privacy and public shaming.

Ayesha Sana was once among Pakistan’s most prominent television personalities, known for her confidence, hosting style and glamorous presence on screen. Her sudden disappearance from the industry had remained largely mysterious for years.

Now, after the viral discussion, many social media users say the public should respect the fact that she is working hard rather than turning her private struggles into entertainment.
