LAHORE: Pakistani passport holders can now travel to more than 30 countries without lengthy visa procedures, reflecting improved global mobility in 2026.
Recent updates show that travellers can enter several destinations either visa-free, through visa-on-arrival, or via quick online approvals, reducing the need for embassy visits and long processing times.
Countries offering visa-free entry include Barbados, Dominica, The Gambia, Trinidad and Tobago, Haiti and St Vincent and the Grenadines, with stay durations ranging from one month to six months.
For visa-on-arrival options, destinations such as Maldives, Qatar, Nepal, Rwanda, Cambodia, Madagascar and Mozambique allow entry upon arrival, usually requiring basic documents including return tickets and accommodation proof.
Several countries have also introduced electronic travel systems, enabling faster approvals through online applications. These include Kenya, Seychelles, Sri Lanka and Azerbaijan, where visas or travel authorisations are typically processed within hours to a few days.
Despite easier access, travellers are required to meet standard entry conditions, including a passport valid for at least six months, proof of return travel, sufficient funds and confirmed accommodation.
Health documentation, such as polio or yellow fever vaccination certificates, may also be required for certain regions, particularly in Africa and the Caribbean.
Officials and travel experts say the expansion in accessible destinations reflects stronger diplomatic ties and growing recognition of Pakistani tourists in global markets.
The shift is expected to make international travel more accessible and cost-effective for Pakistani citizens, as more countries adopt simplified entry systems and digital visa processes.
