NA warns against fake summer 2026 internship advertisements
The National Assembly Secretariat has warned the public about fake online advertisements and links inviting applications for its Summer 2026 internship programme. It said selected universities are being contacted directly under an approved framework.

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Secretariat has cautioned the public against unauthorised advertisements and online links circulating on job portals and social media that falsely invite applications for internships with the lower house of parliament.
In an official clarification, the Secretariat said no public call for internship applications had been issued through online portals or third-party platforms. The statement was issued in response to what it described as misleading material being shared online regarding the National Assembly’s Summer 2026 internship programme.
The Secretariat said the advertisements and links in circulation were not authentic and should not be treated as official channels for applying to the programme. It urged the public to remain careful about such content appearing on digital platforms.
Official clarification
According to the National Assembly Secretariat, the Summer 2026 internship programme is not being run through open online applications. Instead, it said the process is being carried out through a structured institutional outreach mechanism. "The Summer 2026 internship programme is being conducted through a structured institutional outreach mechanism under which selected universities are being contacted directly to nominate students in accordance with the approved framework of the National Assembly," as per the statement.
Under that framework, selected universities are being contacted directly to nominate students for the programme. The Secretariat said this nomination process is being followed in line with the approved framework of the National Assembly.
The clarification makes clear that students are not being asked to apply through job websites, social media posts or any outside platform claiming to offer access to National Assembly internships.
The Secretariat’s statement also underlined that no public invitation for internship applications had been issued through online portals or third-party services.
The warning comes amid the circulation of fake internship advertisements that use the National Assembly’s name to attract applicants. The Secretariat’s clarification is intended to inform students and the wider public that the official process is limited to direct engagement with selected universities.
By issuing the clarification, the National Assembly Secretariat has sought to prevent confusion over the internship programme and to alert prospective applicants that any online advertisement or link claiming to offer applications for the Summer 2026 internship is unauthorised.
