Five labourers injured in grenade attack on house in Dalbandin
Five daily-wage labourers from Punjab were injured after unidentified attackers threw a hand grenade at a house in Dalbandin, police said. The blast also damaged windowpanes of the house and nearby homes.

QUETTA: Five labourers were injured after unidentified attackers hurled a hand grenade at a house in Dalbandin, in Balochistan’s Chagai district, late on Monday night, police said.
According to police officials, the assailants arrived on motorcycles and threw the grenade at the house. The explosive went off in the backyard, leaving five workers hurt.
Police officials said the injured men were from Punjab and had been working as daily-wage labourers in the area.
Security personnel reached the site soon after the incident and moved the injured to Prince Fahad Hospital for treatment, police said. They added that the blast also shattered windowpanes of the targeted house as well as nearby homes.
An investigation into the attack has been initiated, while no organisation had claimed responsibility for the incident at the time of reporting, according to police.
Recent grenade attacks in Balochistan
The latest incident comes days after another grenade attack in the province. On Feb 16, two people were injured when unidentified men threw a hand grenade at a milk shop on Khuda-i-Dad Road in Quetta.
Police had also reported a deadly grenade blast in Wadh, in Khuzdar district, last year. In that incident, an eight-year-old child was killed and five other members of a family, including two women, were injured when a grenade exploded inside a house.
According to police, two families from Kashmore district in Sindh were present in the house when unidentified attackers threw a hand grenade into the courtyard. The explosion killed the child at the scene.
Security situation
Pakistan has seen a rise in militant violence, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. A report by the Islamabad-based Centre for Research and Security Studies stated that with an almost 34pc increase in overall violence, 2025 was the deadliest year for the country in a decade.
