Luke Ronchi found himself at the centre of a tense exchange with a reporter following Islamabad United’s defeat in a Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 match in Karachi.

The moment unfolded during a post-match press conference, where emotions were already running high after Islamabad United’s loss to Rawalpindi. As a female journalist began asking a question, another reporter interrupted from behind, speaking out of turn and disrupting the session.

Ronchi immediately stepped in, telling the reporter to stop. When the interruption continued, he responded sharply: “He can ask a question, I don’t give a s**t,” before a media official intervened to restore order and ask the reporter to wait his turn.

The exchange reflected the mood surrounding the team after a difficult outing on the field. Islamabad United, after opting to bat first, struggled to build momentum and lost wickets at regular intervals, eventually posting a modest total of 137 in 20 overs.
