ISLAMABAD: Pre-Hajj flight operations continued as 2,687 intending pilgrims from Pakistan arrived in Madina ahead of the annual pilgrimage, according to a report.
The latest arrivals reflected a steady movement of Pakistani pilgrims to Saudi Arabia as preparations for Hajj gathered pace.
A formal welcome was arranged for the pilgrims on their arrival in Madina. Flowers were showered on the visitors and gifts were distributed as part of the reception.
Traditional Saudi welcome songs were also presented, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of the duff, creating a spiritual and memorable atmosphere for the arriving pilgrims.
After landing, the pilgrims were shifted without delay to residential facilities in the Markaziyah area. The accommodation had been arranged with a focus on the comfort and convenience of the intending pilgrims.
Authorities also issued Nusuk cards immediately after arrival to help ensure easier movement and facilitate the performance of religious rituals.
Arrival arrangements in Madina
The reception and accommodation arrangements formed part of the ongoing pre-Hajj operation, which is currently in full swing.

Pre-Hajj flight operations are continuing as more pilgrims from Pakistan travel to Saudi Arabia in the lead-up to Hajj, with reception, accommodation and facilitation measures in place for those reaching Madina.
