Lahore Main Boulevard's security questioned after woman’s car battery stolen within minutes
A woman says her car battery was stolen in Lahore’s Gulberg Main Boulevard after just 40–50 minutes away. She reports calling 15 with no response and questions street security.

LAHORE: A video from Lahore’s Main Boulevard Gulberg has gone viral after a woman reported that her car battery was stolen in a busy, high-traffic area despite parking in what is considered one of the city’s more secure commercial zones.
In the clip, the woman explains she had parked her vehicle near well-known spots including Cheezious, Double Shot, and Ashiana, where heavy public activity is usually present. She says she was away for just 40–50 minutes before returning to discover the battery missing from her car.
She questions the effectiveness of local security measures, adding that despite calling 15, no immediate response or action followed. She remarks that the issue was treated as if it were not significant enough for urgent attention.
She also highlights the irony of the situation, pointing out that the area is often perceived as safe due to its commercial development and constant footfall. According to her, she had recently upgraded the vehicle and will now bear losses, raising concerns about street-level security in the city’s busiest zones.
The incident, involving her Suzuki Mehran, has sparked discussion online about petty theft in urban areas and public reliance on emergency response systems, with many users sharing similar experiences from different parts of the city.
Authorities have not yet issued a public statement regarding the reported theft.
