Three men have been sentenced under the Official Secrets Act after being arrested in an intelligence-based operation over alleged spying for India’s RAW. The accused were from Narowal, Bahawalpur and District Neelum in Azad Kashmir.

KARACHI: Three men accused of spying for India’s external intelligence agency have been convicted under Pakistan’s Official Secrets Act, following their arrest in what authorities described as an intelligence-based operation.
According to state media, the individuals were found to have links with Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and were involved in alleged espionage activities.
Officials said the suspects, hailing from Narowal, Bahawalpur and Neelum district in Azad Kashmir, had been taken into custody by security agencies prior to the trial.
Investigators claimed the accused had admitted to being recruited through social media, where they were allegedly offered financial incentives and personal relationships in exchange for access to sensitive information.
Authorities said the case highlights growing concerns over the use of digital platforms for recruitment into espionage networks.
