LAHORE: A suspect was allegedly killed during an encounter with a Crime Control Department (CCD) police team in the Shahdara area of Lahore on Monday, according to a police official.

The official identified the deceased as Sami Ullah and said he was allegedly involved in criminal activity. The official further claimed that the CCD had traced more than 100 cases registered against Sami Ullah at various police stations across Punjab.

The CCD police team later moved the body to the city morgue for an autopsy. Further investigation into the incident has also been launched, the official said.
