A three-day Gujranwala industrial exhibition will be held at Karachi Expo Center from April 10 to 12. Organisers say the event will showcase local manufacturing, promote B2B links and feature discounted products and family activities.

KARACHI: A three-day industrial exhibition organised by the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry is set to open at the Karachi Expo Center from April 10 to 12, bringing manufacturers and brands from Gujranwala to the country’s largest commercial hub.
The event is aimed at presenting the breadth, competitiveness and manufacturing capacity of Gujranwala’s industrial sector, which officials said will help strengthen trade ties between cities, encourage business-to-business engagement and introduce visitors to products and technologies developed by the city’s industries.
According to the details shared by officials, exhibitors will display a broad range of goods, including plastic furniture, home appliances, kitchenware, ceramics, sanitary ware and electrical products. The exhibition is expected to draw traders, investors and families, while visitors will also be able to purchase products at discounted prices.
Officials said the expo will also create opportunities for companies looking for partnerships, distribution networks and access to new markets. Industry representatives said such events are important for promoting domestic trade and supporting small and medium enterprises.
Business leaders said bringing Gujranwala’s industrial base to Karachi would improve the visibility of locally made products and reinforce confidence in domestic manufacturing, encouraging consumers to prefer Pakistani industry.
Economic backdrop
The exhibition is being held at a time when Pakistan’s economy is showing signs of cautious optimism in the early months of 2026. After a prolonged period marked by high inflation and external-sector pressures, the country has seen a measure of macroeconomic stability.
Inflation has declined notably and has averaged around 5% to 7% in recent months. The State Bank of Pakistan has also reduced its policy rate to 10.5%, a move that has supported private-sector borrowing and consumer demand.
The same report said real GDP growth reached 3.7% in the first quarter of FY2026, led by a 9.4% rebound in industry, while remittances continued to support the external account.
Event details
Organisers have planned additional activities for visitors during the three-day event. Lucky draws will be held in halls four and five on all three days, with special prizes reserved for families attending the exhibition.
The expo will remain open daily from 10am to 8pm.
The event is being supported by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, the Export Development Fund and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority.
Gujranwala as an industrial city widely regarded as a byproduct of Pakistan’s Green Revolution in the 1960s, and said the exhibition is intended to showcase the city’s industrial strength, innovation and craftsmanship in Karachi.
