LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday permitted an Indian citizen to submit additional documents in a petition challenging his wife Sarbjit Kaur’s marriage in Pakistan.
Justice Farooq Haider heard the miscellaneous application filed by Karnail Singh, who is represented by advocates Ali Changezi Sandhu and Nawaz Hussain. Former MPA Mahinder Pal Singh has been appointed as Singh’s representative to pursue the case.
During the proceedings, the petitioner requested the court to accept the additional documents to strengthen his petition. The bench allowed the request, enabling Singh to include the supplementary material in the ongoing legal proceedings.
The decision comes amid cross-border marital disputes that occasionally require judicial intervention in Pakistan, highlighting the LHC’s role in allowing parties to fully present their evidence before the court.
