Dar brothers are back: ‘Deli Boys’ ups the stakes with star-studded season 2
Hulu comedy series Deli Boys will return on May 28, with Kumail Nanjiani and Lily Singh joining the cast. The show continues to follow two Pakistani American brothers navigating their late father’s criminal empire.

The Dar brothers are back — and this time, things are getting messier. Season two of Deli Boys is set to premiere on May 28 on Hulu, with a fresh lineup of characters joining the crime-comedy chaos.
The series, led by Asif Ali and Saagar Shaikh, alongside Tan France and Poorna Jagannathan, has expanded its cast for the upcoming season.
New additions include Fred Armisen in a major role, with Andrew Rannells and Kumail Nanjiani joining as recurring characters. Meanwhile, Robin Thede and Lilly Singh will appear as guest stars.
Created by Abdullah Saeed, the show follows Pakistani-American brothers Mir and Raj Dar, who are forced to rebuild their lives after losing everything — only to step into their late father’s criminal empire.
Season two dives deeper into their chaotic new reality. Now handling piles of dirty cash, the brothers team up with casino magnate Max Sugar (Armisen), a sharp operator known for reading people like cards, as they attempt to clean their money.
At the same time, personal and legal complications begin to stack up. Lucky (Jagannathan) develops a crush on their new partner, while District Attorney Andrew Chadwater (Rannells) sets his sights on taking them down as part of his mayoral ambitions in Philadelphia.
Nanjiani steps in as Danyal, a defence attorney hired by Sugar, while Singh plays Aisha — the wife of Maalik Ali — who becomes fixated on Raj. Thede appears as Dr Iverson, a couples’ therapist whose ethics raise eyebrows.
Praised for its representation of Pakistani Americans and its offbeat humour, Deli Boys quickly built a following after its first season. The show was renewed in August, with its 10-episode debut — featuring a cameo by Pakistani designer HSY — currently available on Hulu and Disney+.
