PCB board approves anti-corruption rule changes in line with ICC code
The PCB Board of Governors has approved amendments to anti-corruption regulations to bring them in line with the ICC code. The board also reviewed the Jeddah stadium project, approved Lahore region restructuring, and noted PSL and domestic cricket developments.

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board’s Board of Governors has approved amendments to the board’s anti-corruption regulations to align them with the International Cricket Council’s code, according to a PCB press release issued on Sunday.
The changes were described as necessary to bring the PCB’s regulations into conformity with those of the sport’s international governing body.
During the meeting, the Board of Governors also reviewed progress on the proposed development of the Jeddah Cricket Stadium. The project is linked to an agreement signed between the PCB and its Saudi Arabian counterpart.
In another decision, the board approved a fresh plan for restructuring zones under the Lahore Region Cricket Association.
The members also appreciated the PCB’s successful sale of new teams for the upcoming Pakistan Super League cycle covering 2026 to 2036.
The Board of Governors further acknowledged the services of Director Domestic Cricket Abdullah Khurram Niazi, who has been appointed a director in the Capital Development Authority.
According to a report by Dawn, some members suggested that the PCB chairman allow Abdullah to continue supervising domestic cricket affairs from Islamabad. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding that proposal.
The developments were shared after the board’s meeting in Lahore, where administrative, regulatory and structural matters related to Pakistan cricket came under discussion.
The approval of changes to the anti-corruption framework was presented by the PCB as part of an effort to ensure consistency with ICC regulations. The board’s review of the Jeddah stadium proposal and its approval of the Lahore regional restructuring plan were also among the key items taken up in the session.
The meeting additionally noted commercial progress linked to the Pakistan Super League, with members appreciating the sale of new teams for the league’s next cycle. The board also formally recognised Abdullah Khurram Niazi’s services in domestic cricket administration following his appointment to the CDA.
