Islamabad: The official poster for Khan Tumhara, starring Maya Ali and Bilal Ashraf, has been released ahead of the film’s scheduled Eidul Adha 2026 release.

The upcoming film has been written by Mustafa Afridi and directed by Mohammed Ehteshamuddin. According to Variety, the project also includes an international crew led by Nick Khan, who worked on Marvel’s Eternals, and Hussain Abdullah, who worked on Skyfall.

The newly unveiled poster points to the film’s violent and action-driven tone. It shows Ashraf wrapped in the Pakistani flag while holding a gun, while Ali appears beside him in a brightly coloured outfit and smiling toward the camera. The imagery suggests a contrast between the two characters.

An action-focused trailer for the film was released in November 2026 and introduced Ashraf as the lead character, Yusuf Khan. A line from the trailer outlines the character’s journey: “The pharaohs of our time wear but a single face, a face I am sworn to recognise. I will find them and I will rise up. And I will talk the sacred line decreed by God. My name is Yusuf Khan, this is my story.”

The trailer also features scenes of bloodshed and violence, setting a gritty mood for the film. It includes brief shots of Ali in the role of Nargis, including a moment in which she is seen firing a gun, indicating that her part may go beyond that of a traditional romantic lead and add emotional weight to the story.

Production details and cast background

Filming for the movie’s action sequences alone reportedly continued for 70 days in Pakistan. Ashraf is also said to have carried out his own stunts without body doubles and sustained multiple injuries during production.

Speaking about the project, director Mohammed Ehteshamuddin said, “For years, Pakistani cinema has flirted with action but we have never truly let it bleed. Khan Tumhara is our answer to that hesitation.”

The film marks Maya Ali’s return to cinema after a seven-year break. She is known for her role in the 2016 drama Mann Mayal and for appearing in the 2018 film Teefa in Trouble alongside Ali Zafar.

Bilal Ashraf, meanwhile, is known for his performances in Superstar (2019) and the romantic comedy Janaan (2016), both of which helped establish his standing in contemporary Pakistani cinema.

With its newly released poster, previously issued trailer and emphasis on large-scale action, Khan Tumhara is being positioned as a major Eidul Adha 2026 release.
