Islamabad: Actor Sonya Hussyn has shared a personal glimpse of her spiritual journey through an Instagram video filmed at Masjid an-Nabawi, accompanied by a caption centred on faith, prayer and reflection.
In the post, she said she had conveyed greetings on behalf of those who had asked her to do so.
To everyone who requested, I conveyed your salaam to the Prophet (PBUH). May Allah grant each of us the blessing of visiting and witnessing this beautiful place. Amin.she wrote while posting footage from the holy mosque.
She also described Riyaz ul Jannah in deeply personal terms.
Riyaz ul Jannah—a place described as a garden from Jannah itself. A space where duas feel closer, hearts soften, and time feels still. I came searching for healing… and left a piece of my heart there. Rawdah Mubarak.
The video opens with a nighttime view of the Green Dome, associated with the Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH). It then moves through different parts of the mosque, showing its interior details, including large golden doors, ornate arches and chandeliers lighting the prayer areas.
One of the central moments in the footage focuses on Riyazul Jannah, identifiable by its green carpeting and the reverent atmosphere around it. The visuals also show worshippers engaged in prayer, highlighting the mosque as a place where many people come for solace and contemplation.
The final portion of the clip shows two hands held together, adding a personal and emotional note to the video. The imagery, along with her caption, presents the visit as one tied to healing, companionship and spiritual connection.
In an earlier video, also shared from Masjid an-Nabawi, Hussyn was seen walking through the mosque’s expansive courtyard with two colleagues. In that post, she wrote, "Ya Allah, this is far more than I ever prayed for."
The actor is widely known for performances marked by emotional depth and for taking on layered and socially relevant roles. Her work in dramas including Ishq Zahe Naseeb, Saraab, and Meri Guriya has contributed to her standing as one of Pakistan’s prominent television actors.
Her recent posts also reflect a broader pattern in which public figures share faith-based experiences with followers, offering a more personal view of their lives beyond their professional work.
